PRISON VIOLENCE ESCALATES BECAUSE OF THE STATE'S ABUSE

What do you expect when you treat human beings like animals? When you imprison the most vulnerable in society. When you allow children to suffer the most horrendous physical, emotional and sexual abuse and then incarcerate them because they offend as adults. When you jail those with mental health issues and special needs. Only those who pose actual physical danger to members of the public should be detained and then the purpose and conditions of their detention should be reformative alone.
