"DRIVEL FOR THE DAY" OUGHT TO BE AXED

Each day I am assailed by three minutes of largely meaningless drivel. Within a stimulating, intelligent and challenging mix of news and comment, this carbuncle appears. In smarmy tones, the usual suspects, inject us with their mix of patronising piffle. As though they had access to a greater resource and more profound wisdom, when it rapidly becomes clear that neither is the case. The entire programme, excluding "Thought for the Day", stimulates our thoughts for the day. We need no other pretender.
