WELBY BACKTRACKS OVER THE CHURCH'S OPPORTUNISM

The Church of England, after its distasteful opportunism, is already slip sliding away from its disingenuous proclamation about gender guidance. I can only hope that Stonewall and Peter Tatchell's praise for them are as cynical, hoisting the hypocrites well and truly by their own petard. Nothing to do with "sexual ethics", Welby quickly clarifies, as the phone lines get jammed by the homophobes within his church. So Welby, it was just grandstanding - the hateful prejudice of the church remains as it has ever been.
