NO JUSTICE FOR BLACK OR MINORITY ETHNIC PEOPLE OR THE POOR

David Lammy's report makes stark reading.
41% of 10-18 yr olds in custody are from black and ethnic minority groups.
46% of them re-offend upon release.
12% of the population come from a black or ethnic minority background, but they comprise 25% of the prison population.
Just a few salutary indicators that the present system of justice is absolutely not justice at all, but criminality by a different name.
Having experienced the judicial system first hand, I can testify to its complete failings at every level.
Lord Woolf opines that he wants the public to have faith in their system of justice. Well, I'm sorry, that is not remotely possible.
The briefest inspection shows it to be not fit for purpose.
A close inspection makes it a national shame.
