HOW THE CHURCHES SCAR EUROPE

Oh how cheap life is. How easily we can discard others that stand in our way. How we have recourse so quickly to murder. How we deny the sanctity of life through bullets and bombs. How like a tinder box the world remains, ever on the edge of flames and fury. How empty have been the centuries of Christendom, the trillions of 'holy' words preached and prayers offered. How the churches scar Europe as symbols of impotent grace. How the clergy haunt its nations with their cheap doctrines of salvation and their plastic Christ. How all this fantasy faith must immolate that a phoenix generation can arise, cleansed of the old myths and ready to put death behind them and tread only on the pathways of peace, love and respect for all.
